Sales Haul

This morning I woke up bright and early to face the madness that is the Christmas sales, and by bright and early I mean half nine.
The last and only Topshop in Limerick closed down earlier this month and my mother and I have been having some serious withdrawal symptoms. Pretty much half of my wardrobe is from Topshop so I must admit, I was a bit lost without it today.
Almost all of the sales were pretty horrendous which is the reason for all of the clothes in this haul being from River Island. There are really no good shops left in Limerick now with Topshop being gone so I'm planning on going to Cork or Dublin sometime soon for some bit of variety.

These three t-shirts were reduced from €20 to €12. I do wish now that I had gotten a few more but what can you do.

Over-sized 'Nice' sequin vest top which was reduced from €20 to €9

This MTV sequin top was originally €29 but it was on sale for €14. When I was in Cork last month I got the Rolling Stones version of this and I was planning on getting the MTV one when I got back to Limerick, but they never seemed to have it in my size. So I finally got it today - not in my preferred colour, but it's better than nothing.

I've been eyeing up this jumper for a while as well! It was originally priced at €33 and reduced to just €18. I think this may be the comfiest piece of clothing I have ever owned, it doesn't look too bad either! I did get it a few sizes bigger but it doesn't seem too bad when it's on. It does get rather warm so I think I'd just wear it outside mainly.

The top wire headband, the fury leopard print one, was only €3 after being reduced from €10. The other two were on sale for €2 with it's original price being €8.

Once again, something I've been wanting for a good while! I've recently gotten back into wearing jeans a lot, especially bright coloured ones. These are normally €48 which put me off them a bit, but I got them today for half price.

These floral print shoes, which were actually a size five not three, were on sale for €18. I'm not sure of it's original price though.

I absolutely adore these shoes. These brown ankle boots, which are showing up as a more maroon colour in the photo, were originally priced at €49.50 but were on sale for just €18. If that wasn't good enough, they were reduced to a further €9 because of one of the shoes being a size four and the other being a five. That was fine for me as I'm a size four and a half. So as if I didn't already love these shoes enough, I loved them even more after finding out that I was saving around 80%.
The price tag.

An Inglot shop opened up near me around two months ago. I have had a bit of a wander around there in the past but only leaving with arms full of swatches instead of any actual products.
I did go in there today though after remembering that I needed a new pale foundation. I know there has been an awful lot of people raving about Revlon's Colour Stay but I have heard of some people's Boots not carrying the palest shade. I figured that there's more of a chance that they would have one pale enough for me as it's high end.
I was rather surprised that the palest shade was actually far too pale for me. That's definitely a first!

Instead I got the cream foundation in shade number 26 along with a matching concealer. The foundation looks quite small but it's 30ml which is the size of most foundations. The concealer is 10ml. I haven't heard anything really on either of them so I'm excited to try them and I'll let you know how they are!
The foundation was priced at €20 and the concealer at €12.

This last item isn't actually mine, but my mother's. She got it today in River Island for €35 and I just love it so I though I'd show it. It's really one of those pieces where you either love it or hate it and I think it's really her type of style.

Christmas Haul

Christmas was two days ago and I must say, it was very good. Considering how horrible it went last year, I wasn't quite sure what to expect this year, but it turned out really well.
I always love to see what people got for Christmas so I decided to make a post on what I got, just in case there's anyone else like me out there.

I apologise for the quality of some of these photos. My camera has been acting up a lot lately so I had to take these on my BlackBerry.

One of my big presents was my 8gb iPod touch. I've been in desperate need of a new iPod for ages so I am absolutely delighted with it.

Like the rest of the country, my other big present was the BlackBerry 8520 Curve. Despite all the bad reviews I've been wanting to get this for a good while, mainly for the internet aspect of it. But to my disappointment, it's been giving me some serious troubles already.
I couldn't take a photo of it because I had to take all of these photo's on my BlackBerry so here's the official photo instead!

I got a few Nails Inc things. The first was the 'Glitterati' set. From left to right, the colours are 'Hatton Garden', 'London Bridge' and 'Chelsea Embankment'. This also came with a €14 off any Nails Inc service within the next two months.

The next Nails Inc set I got has no name apparently. It comes with a mini Kensington hand lotion and three mini nail polishes. The colours are 'Edinburgh Gale'. 'Leicester Square' and  'Burlington Arcade'.

The third and final Nails Inc set I got was the Special Effects Overglaze Polish. It comes with two polishes - 'Chelsea', which is a plum black solid colour and an overglaze top coat in 'The Donmar'. This is by far my favourite set out of the ones I got. The effect you get it amazing but if you put too much on it can look like shatter polish. I twitpic'd a photo of me wearing it last night.

I also got the 'Big Splendour' kit by Soap & Glory which is now sold out. It comes with 'Heel Genius Foot Cream', 'Hand Food', 'The Righteous Butter', 'Mist You Madly - A Flirty Floral Fragrant Body Spray', 'Face Soap Clarity', 'Clean on Me', 'Calm One, Calm All - Bubble Bath', a packet of 'Off Your Face' and a Sexy Mother Pucker lip gloss in 'Candy Gloss' which I forgot to include in the photo.

Next I got a Fearne Cotton palette called 'From Lush Lil' Dawn Eyes'. First impression - I'm not too impressed with it. This is the first makeup product of her's I've tried and I did have high expectations but when I swatched these the payoff wasn't very good at all.

Something I've been in dying need of for a good while is Moroccan Oil. This really makes your hair so soft and appear more healthy than it really is, which is handy for me due the amount I colour and straighten my hair. This retails for about €25 so that is the main reason I waited until Christmas to get it again.

The last thing I got from Santa was a Beatles - Revolver shirt. I'm pretty sure this is from Penny's/Primark because I got a Sgt. Pepper's one there the other day and my friend said she saw Abbey Road ones in there too. I'll probably end up chopping this up within the next few days so make it look a bit nicer.

From my sister I got a Simple Pleasures set which came with seven lip glosses. She also got me a pair of sterling silver star earrings. I'm not sure where she got them.
As well, I got an early Christmas present from her a few weeks ago in the form of a train case, which I am delighted with!

From my nana and granddad I got three albums - Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band by The Beatles, Abbey Road by The Beatles and Queen - Greatest Hits. I'm so chuffed with these because I have all of The Beatles album's on my iPod but I don't actually have any physical albums. I'm getting a record player soon because our other one is broken so I'll be getting vinyl versions soon too, yay!
Also from my nana and granddad, I got these lilac Hedkandi headphones which are amazing! I've been wanting to get proper headphones for a while but I decided to wait until Christmas to get them. They're so good that even my brother has been wearing them. Not outside of the house, of course.

From my aunt I got a €40 voucher to Tally Weijl and I got money off my uncle. I also got a few other bits in my stocking and stuff but I didn't think that they were really of enough importance to have photos of :')

Rachel Zoe Pre-Fall 2012

I am in love with this collection!

The stylist turned reality star turned designer Rachel Zoe has just revealed her pre-fall 2012 designs. We already know about her love for the 60's and 70's and she has definitely incorporated that love into this collection. The range full of trim ankle pants, slim-lined blazers, pea coats and floaty maxi dresses. Texture-wise, there is plenty of faux fur, sequins and chiffon. I have never been much of a fan of Rachel Zoe, mainly because of my mother constantly watching that horrid reality show of hers, but this collection is to die for! It's impossible for me to even choose a favourite piece.
